Focus

Company Profile

Focus Automation, Inc. has been supplying automation for over a decade, initially meeting the Industry's needs by designing assembly machines. With the evolution of factory automation from fixed solutions to a more flexible approach, Focus Automation, Inc. has developed the technology and acquired the talent to move both the company and the industry into the year 2000. Focus Automation, Inc. is comprised of more than a dozen mechanical and electrical engineers with vast experience and knowledge in flexible robotics, vision inspection and guidance, motion controls, PC and PLC based systems, packaging and assembly equipment.
Our product and solution base has evolved from extensive experience in a variety of industries including automotive, consumer products, electronic, fastener, food, medical and pharmaceutical. In recent years. (the Focus Automation team has achieved impressive results in applying cutting edge technologies in conjunction with the basic principles of electrical and mechanical engineering. Some examples of this philosophy as applied to assembly applications are cam driven rotary indexing, high speed continuous motion, stepper or servo controlled X/Y table inserting, and asynchronous pallet transfer systems.
In many industries, secondary packaging operations such as placing finished goods into corrugate containers are currently accomplished with manual operations. The repetitive motions associated with these operations are frequently case for physical disorders such as Carpel Tunnel Syndrome. Flexible robotics, which closely replicates the dexterity of a human operators, can be justified based on the reduction in direct labor and liability insurance costs. Some examples of packaging solutions developed by Focus Automation, Inc. are case packing and unpacking, robotic palletizing, product collation, slip sheet feeding and high speed conveyor tracking.
