Quick Connect
- The Quick Connect (QC) is a standardized interchangeable
portable control system designed to interface with locomotives equipped with
American Association of Railroads (AAR) standard Multiple Unit (MU)
connections. This makes the QC an extremely cost effective solution when the
need arises to control more than one locomotive at your operating facility.
A typical QC comprises:
• a portable ergonomic radio remote Operator Control Unit (OCU) IP65
watertight enclosure – designed for one hand operation
• a portable locomotive mounted IP65 watertight enclosure containing the
Locomotive Computer Unit (LCU)
• a portable locomotive mounted IP65 watertight enclosure containing an
Electro-pneumatic proportional brake interface
TH-AMR
- The TH-AMR terminal is a universal locomotive radio unit
for bi-directional data communication. The applications range from fully
automatic hump yard (ADT) operations to master/slave locomotive (MTT)
operations. The communication of TH-AMR is remote controlled so that no
wiring is necessary.
The universal locomotive radio unit TH-AMR is a fully redundant radio
control with the immediate evaluation of the received signal. The
transmission part has a dual processing feature, which sends out the signal
alternately.
The dual layout of the processor has three advantages:
• Increased availability of the terminal
• Increased safety of receiver signal
• Increased range
Data Transmission
- Intelligent subsitute - Wireless data transmission
system for control and monitoring.
Wireless data transmission systems sometimes are the only and more often the
most economic solution for controlling and monitoring systems in the
processing and the control electronics in industry plants, power stations,
raffineries, chemical and steelworks, as well in the conveyor systems
sector, rail vehicles and mobile production machinery. IFD 3230
- The intelligent data transmission radio system IFD 3230
can be used for point-to-point or point-to-multipoint communication
applications.
The IFD 3230 consists of a base station and up to 15 mobile units. The data
sent from the base station is received by all the mobile units, each
automatically verifying the data and processing if applicable.
This wireless data transmission system has been used successfully in
marshalling yards, where the pushing and shunting of locomotives is not
automated, but is manually done by the locomotive operator who receives from
the signal box the desired speed, which is displayed on his mobile unit..
