Edey & Duff

Company Profile

Since 1968, Edey & Duff, Ltd., has been doing what co-founders Mait Edey and Peter Duff set out to do -- build affordable boats of exceptional quality. The two avid sailors built their first cruising sailboat, the Sam Crocker-designed Stone Horse, in Peter Duff's living room and backyard herb garden. Now, nearly 30 years later, Edey & Duff has built almost 1,200 boats, including 150 Stone Horses, the shoal draft Shearwater and Dovekie, and the popular Herreshoff designed Doughdish and Stuart Knockabout. The Conch 27, designed and built for the serious angler, has fast become one of the most sought-after, semi-custom sportfishing boats on the tournament trail, and the Sakonnet 23, launched only two years ago, is quickly following in its footsteps.
